Welcome to Salted. On The Harbor! I’m Lindsay Ostrander, and I’ve been in the restaurant industry since I was 14. From my first job as a bus girl at The Shack in Centerport to opening my first place, The Wine Cellar on Main, I’ve always loved being a part of this world. After years of experience, my husband Dan, our son, and I decided to create something special here in Northport.
Our Vision for Northport
We wanted Northport to be more than just a stop on the map—it’s a place full of great food and good times. We saw so many fantastic restaurants around us, but we knew there was something missing. We wanted to add to the diversity of dining in Northport and give people a place to relax and enjoy delicious, fresh food and drinks. Salted. On The Harbor was born out of that vision.
Our Passion for Food and Family
At Salted, food is everything. We’ve built a team of people who share our passion for quality ingredients and memorable meals. Chef Anthony Martarana, our Executive Chef since 2021, brings his expertise from working at amazing places like Park Place, Nisen Sushi, and Matteo’s. He has a true love for cooking, and that shows in every dish he creates.
A Special Place for Great Cocktails
Not only do we focus on food, but we also have a great selection of drinks. With help from Doug Brickell, the beverage mastermind behind Cork & Kerry, we’ve created a list of carefully crafted cocktails that will make your visit even better. Of course, I also bring my sommelier background into play, offering you wines that perfectly pair with our dishes, plus local craft beers to round out the experience.
